Logos is part of a large project entitled OBEY, which questions the dimension of the feminine and the theme of disobedience. The work – with live music – develops as a complex dialogue between body and sound, in a game of control, between balances, disharmonies, listening and conflict. The creation develops in the shape of a solo and tighten its focus on the ancient debate between Logos and Pathos, the two forces of human soul which according to the ancient Greeks play in opposition. The Logos translated as “word, reason, proportion” is the principle that regulates all things and assumes also the meaning of divine wisdom, the Pathos on the other hand corresponds to our emotional nature, corruptible and uncontrollable, which moves us away from the divine making us…more human? Starting from the central concept of “disobedience”, intended as an essential element to self-knowledge, Logos questions the coordinates on which we have chosen to baste our existence and wonders if these are actually capable to express our human potential which is indeed made by opposites; reason and emotion, objective and subjective, male and female etc. The suspect is that human beings exceeded in relying more on one side than the other, neglecting and often obstructing the less decryptable human parts. Is it maybe time of a countertendency?

It all starts with an act of disobedience, with a little fall from the Eden in which all things have a preset order. Perhaps it is curiosity that drives one, perhaps doubt, but one chooses to sidestep the rule and stretches further, beyond the assigned point. It is a shift of a minimal degree but nothing is anymore as it should be. The matter of which we are impregnated, given to us by the fathers of our fathers, does not resonate anymore and all virtues, truths and principles reveal now a distortion that cracks their very nature. Here where everything sways and where statements have no grips, lies the female soul, another dimension in which the undefined is a possibility.
