Cuor di Coniglio (Rabbit Heart) is a poetic modern fable that explores fragility and the courage to accept oneself. Vincent is a joyful and imaginative child who, wounded by the cruel dragon of others’ judgment, retreats into his inner castle, losing touch with himself—and with his own heart. With the help of Rosi, an eccentric and dancing rabbit, Vincent embarks on a symbolic and surreal journey in search of his lost heart.

Told through physical theatre and clowning, the performance is an invitation to overcome the fear of judgment and to discover the beauty within vulnerability. Cuor di Coniglio is a hymn to the freedom of being yourself—seeing the world from a new perspective and showing up, simply, as you are.

Director’s Notes

Cuor di Coniglio speaks to us about the power of imagination and how important it is not to silence the playful, childlike side that lives within each of us. To face life with more lightness and irony.

We chose to tell this story primarily through the language of physical theatre and clowning, making the performance universal and fully accessible to everyone. We also decided to begin with a surreal situation—with two seemingly irreconcilable characters from very different worlds—because the surreal is one of the defining traits of stories invented by children. Their world transcends reality and breaks down all boundaries of time and space. Because a world where we can still imagine is a world where it’s possible to be free. And in our vision, theatre is exactly the place where boundaries can be broken.
