Pierandrea Rosato (1994) is a dancer and choreographer based in Milan. A black belt in Karate, he graduated with a BA in Modern Dance from Folkwang University of the Arts. He has danced for companies such as FTS, Tanztheater Wuppertal, El Conde de Torrefiel, Gob Squad, among others.
He holds an MFA in Theatre and Performing Arts from IUAV University of Venice, with a thesis on the aesthetic categories of the weird and the eerie. His creations have been presented at art festivals across Europe and China.
In 2023, he became an associate artist of Sosta Palmizi, was selected for the Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore with the solo Infieri, was awarded the Anghiari Dance Hub grant, and won Abbondanza/Bertoni’s Kommtanz call for the creation of the piece Light Leaks from a Black Moon.
He has collaborated as a Movement Director for fashion brands such as Sisley, Sunnei, and others.
Additionally, he is the winner of the ministerial Grand Tour 2025 grant for research in the performing arts. His piece Shining Bruises | a study on burnout was a finalist at the international competition Prospettiva Danza e Teatro 2025.
